Anorexia :—


               In this disease condition the decreased appetite, Don't feel Hungry in this condition.

Generally anorexia cause by 

fever, 

Jaundice,

Anemia.

First rule out this three.

Sign and symptoms :-

  • Fast weight loss 
  •  Sleep disorders
  •  Small meal
  • Muscle pain, contraction 

General treatment :-

  1. Good food which have rich proteins,fresh,fruit.
  2. Regular exercise.
  3. Change in climate.
  4. Stop smoking, drinking alcohol.      

Medical treatment :-

  • Inj. Neurobion 2cc IM on alternative day upto 5 day.
  • Syr. Practin 1 tsp - give ½hour before meals 3 time per day
  • Syr. Aptivate 2 tsp - 2 time per day
  • Tab. Longifene 25 mg - BD ½ hour before meal
  • Tab. Zentel 400mg - 1 Tab stat.

Is he taking drugs causing anorexia —Metformin, Digitalis, Anti Hypertensive, Metronidazole.


In serious condition go to hospital.
